Once you know who you’re going to approach for funding, you need to make sure you do it right... because you only get 1 first impression. That means you need to perfect your elevator pitch, and you also need to know how to network and build rapport with investors. Step 3. The Pitch

OK, at this point you’ve piqued the venture capitalist’s interest and it’s time to make your VC presentation (also known as the “pitch”). Do you know what to say, and precisely what order you should structure your presentation? Do you know the common mistakes and pitfalls to avoid when presenting to investors? I’ve been helping entrepreneurs present to investors for more than 10 years, and I’ll share with you all of my best strategies for getting investors to say “YES”...

Step 4. The Close

Once you’ve dazzled investors with your presentation, the next step is the term sheet. And here’s where the venture capital negotiations begin. If you’re not prepared for this stage in the funding process, bad things can happen... The deal could go south, or worse, you can end up losing control of your company. I’ll show you how to make sure you’re prepared for due diligence, and I’ll even show you what you can do to gain the upper hand in VC negotiations...
